For nearly a decade, I’ve worked behind the scenes as a communications consultant and communications liaison helping leaders, organizations, and teams communicate clearly and effectively. My experience has spanned public service in the executive branch of state government, a political communications professional the state legislature, and strategic messaging in all areas, including campaigns and elections — often focused on taking complex issues and making them understandable to the people they impact most.
I’ve managed communications strategies and provided professional writing services, writing and editing hundreds of op-eds and press materials while working closely with journalists and stakeholders across Kentucky. Along the way, I’ve led projects that blended research, writing, design, and media coordination — always focused on effective message development to help good ideas find their audience.
That experience shapes how I approach every project today: listen first, work hard, write with purpose, and deliver strategic communications services that ensure the message connects.
I’m a product of the mountains that made me. Growing up in Appalachia taught me what grit really means — that nothing worth doing comes easy, and that success isn’t about where you start, but how hard you’re willing to work when no one’s watching. I wasn’t supposed to end up here. By all accounts, I could’ve been a statistic. But I’ve been given opportunities I don’t take for granted, and that’s why I give everything I have to the work in front of me as a communications consultant.
Every project I take on, especially in the realm of message development and political communications, carries a piece of that story. I approach it with the same tenacity and purpose that shaped me — working until the job’s done right, and refusing to cut corners along the way. My clients’ success is personal to me. Their time is valuable, their trust even more so, and I see the quality of my professional writing services and the responsiveness I bring as a reflection of my character.
